The general ethos of the pub is a traditional old style Ale house with a friendly welcoming feel, We've gone back to basics so no flat screen tvs or flashing fruit machines, away from the friar street strip of chain bars and tacky student nights we offer a decent range of drinks, open fire in the winter months, newspapers, board games, and most importantly a relaxed friendly drinking environment.

We're pretty laid back and not at all exclusive, never any dress codes or cover charges, you can even bring your own food in to eat. Service is friendly but efficient, there's often live music, A pub quiz once a month, kids and dogs are welcome - we have our own (dog not child thankfully) The venue is great for gigs, birthday parties etc please get in touch if you'd like to organise something.
